Onion sets are mini onions ready for you to plant and raise to maturity, whilst you can grow onions from seeds, onion sets are an easy way to be sure of a great crop.

Sturon - buy now so you are ready to plant from mid-March to mid April roughly 6 inches (15cm) apart in rows a foot apart ready in August. When they are ready lift but leave on the surface to dry out before using - produce a classic straw coloured onion.
