KILN DRIED LOGS

Quality Firewood
Certified ready to burn meeting all government guidelines and independently tested at below 20% moisture content giving a clean and efficient burn and more heat
We produce our own logs and kindling to ensure we know the quality you will receive .
The most popular product is our dry seasoned hardwood which is dried in our poly tunnel solar kilns , but to ensure we can meet demand all through the season we have installed a biomass forced drying kiln .
Our timber is sustainably sourced and locally felled , predominantly Ash , but may contain a small amount of Beech , Birch , Cherry and Oak . We will not mix in softwood such as Larch , but we do sell it separately
We offer hardwood and softwood logs both dry seasoned or kiln dried in large bulk bags , they are clean and neat and will be left in a convenient location
Our standard logs are cut from round timber to a maximum of 10” and are suitable for both open fires and most wood burning stoves . They are dried below 20% moisture content and are certified ready to burn
Our premium logs are processed from timber rings at 8” length into small logs perfect for smaller stoves they are below 20% moisture and are certified ready to burn .
Our kiln dried log nets are packed from our premium logs , they are perfect for smaller fires and are convenient and easy to store
Jumbo kindling nets are large nets of kindling the same size as our log nets , filled with dry softwood either large or small size sticks , kindling is important to start a fire as it not only ignites the logs but it heats the chimney or flue quickly to start the draw
Softwood logs nets are cheaper and lighter to handle , they are best used in stoves as they can spit , ideal for occasional use and with the shortage of hardwood it won’t be long before we will all be burning more

Between the 20th December to 3rd February
